Türkiye's Airports Welcome 193 Million Passengers in Nine Months
Türkiye's air travel sector keeps climbing. According to figures from the State Airports Authority (DHMİ) announced by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Turkish airports served 193,156,231 passengers between January and September 2026, including direct transit passengers.
Growth Across the Board
Total passenger traffic rose 2.9% compared with the same period last year. Domestic traffic reached 81.7 million passengers (up 6.7%), while international traffic reached 111.4 million. In September alone, airports handled 25.6 million passengers, a 3.4% increase.
Tourism Hubs Lead the Way
Airports in key tourism regions served 49.6 million passengers in nine months. Antalya Airport handled 30.1 million, Izmir Adnan Menderes 10.3 million and Dalaman 4.6 million. Muğla Milas-Bodrum Airport welcomed 3,918,114 passengers, confirming Bodrum's strong appeal as a gateway to the Aegean.
For international guests planning a wedding or holiday on the Turkish coast, growing air connectivity means more flight options and easier travel to Bodrum.
