A new sea connection between Bodrum and the Greek island of Patmos is on the agenda. Patmos Mayor Nikitas Tsampalakis visited Turkey during the Bodrum Boat Show (14–18 October) and said his team is looking into a fast catamaran line from Bodrum to the island, with the 2027 tourism season as the target.

Talks and plans

The Patmos delegation met Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras and representatives of İDO and Yeşil Marmaris Lines. They also met the Greek Consul General in İzmir. Next-generation catamarans with around 400 seats were discussed. The aim is to make it easier for Turkish visitors to reach the island.

A model that already works

The idea builds on the direct Kuşadası–Patmos catamaran service that ran in the 2026 season. Patmos says Bodrum is its next goal.

Please note that nothing is confirmed yet. There is no announced operator, timetable, departure port or ticket price, and the necessary permits still have to be completed. If the line goes ahead, Bodrum would gain one more direct route to the Dodecanese islands.
