A New Fast Catamaran Could Cut the Bodrum–Kos Crossing to 17 Minutes in 2027
Getting between Bodrum and the Greek island of Kos is set to become faster and more comfortable. The fast catamaran NAİM TUGAY, owned by Yeşil Marmaris Lines, arrived in Kos harbour on 5 October. It is expected to start regular Bodrum–Kos sailings in April 2027.
What to expect
The vessel can carry about 460 passengers. The target crossing time is just 17 minutes, and the ticket price is expected to be around 25 euros. According to Greek press reports, the company is also planning new fast routes from Bodrum to Rhodes, Symi and Astypalaia.
Good news for this season too
The fast passenger ship Fahri Kaptan-3, which operates on the Bodrum–Kos line under Bodrum Sea Lines, has returned to service after nearly four years of renovation and maintenance. It runs daily throughout October, five days a week in November, and continues on a planned schedule in December. A further new vessel is expected to join the fleet for the 2027 season.
For visitors, this means easier day trips and island-hopping from Bodrum all year round. Timetables and final prices for 2027 are still to be announced.
