Bodrum, one of Turkey's premier coastal destinations, is set to maintain its appeal to international tourists throughout the winter season, according to recent statements from local tourism officials.

Ömer Faruk Dengiz, President of the Bodrum Hoteliers Association, announced that foreign tourists will continue to visit Bodrum during the winter months, thanks to the continuation of international flight connections. This development marks a significant shift in the region's traditional seasonal tourism pattern.

The resort town is currently experiencing what locals call the 'yellow summer' period, which runs from September 15 to October 15. During this time, hotels are maintaining impressive occupancy rates of 85% in October, demonstrating the destination's enduring popularity.

The numbers speak for themselves: Bodrum has welcomed 948,000 foreign tourists arriving by both air and sea during the first nine months of the year. This robust performance positions the destination well for extending its tourism season beyond the traditional summer months.

This winter tourism initiative represents a strategic move to diversify Bodrum's tourism calendar and provide year-round opportunities for both visitors and local businesses. The continuation of international flights during the off-season is crucial for maintaining this momentum and establishing Bodrum as a four-season destination.
